A simple hinge device is described which provides precise alignment of a lid and base in the construction of a double-sided panel expose device. The hinge mechanism is utilized in a double-sided expose device. The double-sided expose or clamshell device relied upon two adjustable (Image Omitted) position hinges which allowed precise alignment of the artwork in the top plate, shown in Fig. 1., to the artwork in the base plate, shown in Fig. 2. This alignment is accomplished through the manipulation of the screws 10. Further, for varying thicknesses of panels, the hinges 11 and 12 allowed the top plate 15 of Fig. 1 to ride up and down relative to the base plate 16, shown in Fig. 2, by the sliding of the hinge pin against the adjustment wedge 17.
