Abstract

Domain naming is a hierarchical graph structured methodology of administering node naming conventions and services. The name service provides a name-to-address translation via a host name database. The existing domain naming services are for the Arpanet only (TCP/IP protocol). This new method extends these services to a generalized interface for any protocol, adding the SNA protocol first.
