This article describes an interface which provides the user with the ability to transport selected financial data from either non-financial systems (e.g., manufacturing applications) or other financial systems to a host financial system. The interface also provides the ability to transport selected financial data to other financial systems from the host financial system. This transport can occur regardless of the compatibility of the source or target systems base structure. INTERFACE STRUCTURE The Financial Systems Interface (FSI) is used to provide the bridge between the host financial system and other application systems, either other financial applications or non-financial applications. This is done by extracting source system data and generating interface transactions in the format required by the receiving system.
