Within some circles, there is increasing concern over a potential risk to personnel who are exposed to RF (radio frequency) energy of unknown intensity and over long periods of time. Equipment or devices that generate RF energies are known to be induction heaters, RF sputtering equipment, RF stabilized welders and even some medical components. There are many, many others. A device that is constructed in accordance with this disclosure is located in an area in which people are expected to be for an extended period of time. Such a device will record continuously the actual RF environment and/or provide an alarm when the energy exceeds a predetermined level.
