This article describes an adapter card which is commonly used to connect one of the different types of personal computers to a logic circuit in the adapter card. The adapter card includes two types of connectors and gate circuits which prevent noise signals on one connector from being applied to the logic circuit when the other connector is connected to its personal computer. (Image Omitted) Referring to Fig. 1, an adapter card 1 includes connectors 2 and 3, interface circuits 4 and 5, gate circuits 6 and 7, inverter gates 8 and 9, and a logic circuit 10. The connector 2 has a pin arrangement adaptive for a type A personal computer, and the connector 3 has a pin arrangement adaptive for a type B personal computer.
