Abstract

A method is described which provides a screen format for displaying the entry information of a created prompted query. The problem arises as to how the information that the user selects through the prompted query is displayed to the user in the underlying Prompted Query window. Information is presented to the user as described below. A prompted query primary window is shown in the figure. In Prompted Query, the user is prompted through each step in defining a query. Each step may consist of one or more prompts (i.e., pop-up windows with information that the user must select from) that completes a step. A problem arises as to when the selections of each prompt is echoed back to the user. This method echoes the information back to the user after each prompt within a single step.
