Abstract

This article describes a pivoting foot device which provides stability to a floor-standing system unit. There are two identical feet for each unit. (Image Omitted) Referring to the drawings, Fig. 1 is a top view of the floor- standing machine with the feet in machine-operating position. Fig. 2 is a similar front view. Fig. 3 is a bottom view of the machine with the feet in operating position showing the centerline pivots and detent positioners for stowing, molded into the structure. Fig. 4 shows the feet in stowed position during shipping or handling. Fig. 5 is a detail view in perspective of the foot device. The function of the detent ramp is to guide and deflect a spring-loaded detent pin in an upward position toward the detent hole, as shown in Fig.
