A technique is described whereby an exchange of data bank information is provided on a personalized basis. Four interfacing concepts are discussed to enable the exchange of information between devices, such as digital wrist-watches equipped with data bank storage capabilities. The concept provides a means of transferring information between data bank devices and eliminates difficulties in entering data and the loss of information when a battery is replaced. (Image Omitted) Data bank storage devices, such as digital wrist-watches, typically can store alphanumeric data, such as phone numbers and names, but because of the limited number of control buttons, it is difficult to input information. In addition, all data bank information is lost when the battery is replaced.
