Abstract

A compact storable portable personal media file, customer friendly, with limited impact resistance and designed to meet tempest requirement is shown in Figs. 1 and 2. This portable disk drive is designed as a compact, storable device that may be used by a personal media drive. This unit may be self- powered, or power may be ported to the file via the signal cable. This unit is designed to withstand accidental drops of up to 5 to 6 inches without damage to the file. This unit is designed to meet FCC class B requirements. (Image Omitted) This unit frame and cover are of one welded assembly, enclosed with the exception of the rear opening. A front bezel (carrying handle) is attached to the front of the unit. A file with two isolators is inserted in the rails shown (Fig. 1) at the rear of the unit.
