A method is described to provide a shortcut to specify table and column names in the panel definition. This is useful since one table can have up to 255 columns. A panel is a customized screen for viewing or editing data from the database. Each table field must be specified by its table name and column name in the panel definition before it can be used on the panel. If a table has many columns to be displayed on a panel, the panel designer wants a shortcut for specifying all the table and column names. (Image Omitted) The panel designer creates a customized panel. As part of the panel definition, he must define the table fields for the panel in a pop-up window. Fields are defined by specifying the table and column from the database for each field.
