Applying Host Resources to File Servers

This design provides a technique by which a host system can identify files or members (including PC files stored on the host) by "type". This allows the "library services" function on the host to access all members in the same fashion. The end result is that the PC user can now take advantage of host services transparent to his PC applications and without modifying his files.
