Serpentine Connector Board With Noise Reduction Ground Plane

Herein shown and described is a connector board with noise reduction ground plane common designed for use with serpentine connectors such as shown and described in the preceding article. The drawing shows two of the improved serpentine connectors 1 and 3 inserted in a board 5 which has a conductive ground plane 7 on the front thereof. The board also has a plurality of internally disposed signal planes S1, S2, S3 and S4, and power planes P1 and P2. The spacing of the openings in the signal planes, power planes and ground plane are predetermined to assure the desired contact between an inserted terminal post and the desired conductive plane, and remain spaced apart from contact with any of the other planes. As an example, a signal terminal 1 is to contact the S1 plane in the board 5 but no other planes.
