Testing Split Rate Communications Adapters

A technique is described whereby split rate communications adapters, such as adapters used in videotex functions, are tested by means of an input/output wrap-around technique, so as to compare data received to that transmitted. The concept enables the testing to be performed even if the transmission rate is different than the receiving rate of speed.
