In a multilayer printed circuit (PC) circuit board, deletion of the connection of PC lines to a plated thru hole (PTH), which includes a protruding pin concentrically bonded therein, i.e. soldered, is effected by a hollow drill or router bit. The outside diameter of the bit is appropriately selected so that it can sever the connection between the PTH and the connections of the circuit lines thereto without adversely affecting the neighboring circuiting.
