Partitioning a Touch Panel Screen

The article describes techniques that partition a touch screen into a plurality of individual keys. A key table stores information representative of individual keys. When a touch occurs, data (for high or low screen resolution) from a single memory area is used in the touch equations to provide a touch response in (x,y) mode, (row,column) mode or key table mode.
