Concept Search - What can I type?
For a concept search, you can enter phrases, sentences, or full paragraphs in English. For example, copy and paste the abstract of a patent application or paragraphs from an article.
Concept search eliminates the need for complex Boolean syntax to inform retrieval. Our Semantic Gist engine uses advanced cognitive semantic analysis to extract the meaning of data. This reduces the chances of missing valuable information, that may result from traditional keyword searching.

Rapid Curing of Adhesives in Precise Locations by Conduction Heating
A method is described for bonding a magnetic head slider to the suspension
by means of a thermally cured adhesive.
The method comprises the steps of depositing a coating of a suitable
thermosetting adhesive such as an epoxy on the flexure tongue of the
suspension, and aligning the slider on the suspension by means of a precision
alignment tool. A small, heated metal probe is applied to the surface of the
flexure so that a small area of the adhesive surrounding the contact area of the
probe's tip is quickly cured.
The small cured area produces sufficient bond strength so that the slider and
suspension can be removed from the precision alignment tool and placed in an
inexpensive tray. The partially bonded slider suspension assembly is then heated
in an oven in the tray at a temperature and for a time sufficient to fully cure the
adhesive. The resulting bond has sufficient strength and retains the accurate
alignment established by the spot cure accomplished in the precision alignment
