Concept Search - What can I type?
For a concept search, you can enter phrases, sentences, or full paragraphs in English. For example, copy and paste the abstract of a patent application or paragraphs from an article.
Concept search eliminates the need for complex Boolean syntax to inform retrieval. Our Semantic Gist engine uses advanced cognitive semantic analysis to extract the meaning of data. This reduces the chances of missing valuable information, that may result from traditional keyword searching.

Theft Detection Means for Use With Coaxial Cables
A method and means are described for immediately detecting the
disconnection of a coaxial cable connecting a device, such as a terminal or a
personal computer, to a control unit.
Toward this end, two special BNC barrel type connectors are installed in
series with the existing connections at both the device and control unit ends.
Each connector has a plug at one end and a socket at the other.
One special connector is installed in series at the device and provides a high
resistance connection between the tip and the case of the additional socket. This
high resistance path is activated only when the socket is connected to the plug
on the device that is to be secured. The resistance is high enough so that it does
not interfere with normal device operations, but is low enough to provide a
detectable tip-to-shield current at the control unit end of the cable. The path is
provided at the socket by bringing the tip signal through the insulating cylinder
surrounding the tip, and then into the surrounding shield connection cylinder.
That connection is then surrounded by an insulator. Only when there is a plug in
the socket is there a tip-to- shield path.
The current flow through the coaxial cable will be interrupted if the cable is
disconnected from the additional socket, or the socket is disconnected from the
device, or the cable is cut.
To detect the disconnection or cutting of the coaxial cable, a special plug and
