Power Interface Connector Mechanically Interlocked

This article describes a power interface connector (PCA) designed so that when conventional power cords are inserted, a sliding insulator cover is mechanically pushed over exposed electrically hot terminals. Access to the terminals for disconnecting the PCA necessitates the removal of the card, thereby preventing any accidental shock.
