Concept Search - What can I type?
For a concept search, you can enter phrases, sentences, or full paragraphs in English. For example, copy and paste the abstract of a patent application or paragraphs from an article.
Concept search eliminates the need for complex Boolean syntax to inform retrieval. Our Semantic Gist engine uses advanced cognitive semantic analysis to extract the meaning of data. This reduces the chances of missing valuable information, that may result from traditional keyword searching.

Head Parking Zone
One of the major problems encountered in disk files is the adhesive force
developed between the recording head (slider) and the disk surface when the
system is at rest.
This problem may be avoided by providing a surface finish in the landing
zone area of the disk that will prevent head sticking. The landing zone is normally
wide enough to accommodate the width of the slider air bearing surface. The
width of the "textured" surface need only be wide enough to ensure the air
bearing surface(s) rests on this area. Sliders with multiple rails may need
textured landing zones for one or more of the rails.
Referring to the figure, the slider 1 is shown at rest on the disk 2 in the
landing zone area 3. The landing zone has a textured area 4 that is narrower
than the landing zone.
