Portable Work Station
A system with a portable work station is used on the floor for manufacturing
semiconductors. The unit includes a keyboard to record and receive data and a
wand to verify jobs and the product involved.
The work station cart 1 in the drawing has a keyboard 2 and a wand 3
mounted appropriately. Plug 4 provides power to the keyboard and wand by
inserting in convenient receptacles in the manufacturing area. An open wire rack
5 holds empty carriers and other items with product carriers 6 on top of the work
station. Shock mounted balloon wheels 7 absorb vibrations as the work station
The work station rolls to a process tool IN gate and the keyboard and wand is
plugged in. The keyboard is activated to receive instructions and the wand used
for product identification. A required operation is performed. Then the work
station with the product rolls to the next station where processing continues.
