An Off Macro Driver (OMD) circuit is described which, when used in conjunction with Read-Only Storage (ROS) circuits to provide output drive capabilities, allows negative bus validation, utilizing only one stage of delay through a buffer. The circuit acts as a macro driving device, so that the overall effect achieves negative bus validation at very high speeds. The OMD circuit, as shown in the drawing, is used in conjunction with a 1k x 36 ROS macro, although multiple drivers will enable an increase in drive capability.
