A technique is described whereby an algorithm, using a random number generator, is implemented into a computer program to provide improved document appearance, when performing text justification. By using a random number generator, the algorithm allows spaces to be distributed randomly so as not only to improve the overall appearance of the document but to prevent reading distraction. In prior art, to obtain text justification, algorithms which are used to align the left and right margins will concatenate words on a single line. While the line is being formulated, spaces are added between existing words until the last character on a line is lined up to form right justification.
