Abstract

A swaged hollow electrical inlet pin is mounted in a plastic housing so as to be prevented from being pulled therefrom to create a potential safety hazard. A swaged hollow AC pin 1 is mounted in a bottom 2 of a plastic socket 3. A portion 4 of the pin 1 functions for disposition within a receptacle in a plug, which is on the end of a line cord, disposed within the socket 3. The pin 1 has an enlarged portion 5 bearing against a shoulder 6 in the bottom 2 of the socket 3. The pin 1 is pressed into the bottom 2 of the socket 3 in the direction of an arrow 7 until the enlarged portion 5 abuts the shoulder 6 of the bottom 2 of the socket 3. A wire 8, which is connected to a portion of a machine having the socket 3 and to which power is to be supplied, is disposed in a portion 9 of the pin 1.
