Concept Search - What can I type?
For a concept search, you can enter phrases, sentences, or full paragraphs in English. For example, copy and paste the abstract of a patent application or paragraphs from an article.
Concept search eliminates the need for complex Boolean syntax to inform retrieval. Our Semantic Gist engine uses advanced cognitive semantic analysis to extract the meaning of data. This reduces the chances of missing valuable information, that may result from traditional keyword searching.

Self-centering Locator for Sheet Metal Parts
A method of providing integral locators in sheet metal parts allows automatic
self-centering during assembly. The method is particularly suited to parts
assembled with automation.
In Fig 1, a sheet metal part is equipped with tab or tabs 1 which are formed
into the part and have tapers 3 as an integral part of their design. A mating sheet
metal part contains a slot or slots 2 with diamond openings 5 also as an integral
part of their design.
As parts are mated, taper 3 on tab 1 provides self-centering action in the
direction of arrow 4 and the diamond opening 5 in slot 2 provides self-centering
action in the direction of arrow 6.
The self-centering action of the forms is shown schematically in Fig 2. An
automatic assembly device used has compli in its grippers to allow the self-
centering to occur.
