Abstract

Pivotal levers can serve the dual function of attaching cables of fiber optics or wires to a circuit card while concurrently seating the card on a circuit board. The levers can also remove both cable and card during reverse operation. Referring to the figure, circuit card 1 carrying modules 2 is seated on or removed from pins 3 of circuit board 4 through rotation of a pair of levers 5, each carrying a plurality of cables 6. During card seating, levers 5 are concurrently rotated about respective pivot 7 toward molded, hollow latch 8 on the card frame. Integral hook projections 9 on each lever engage a card stud 10 and urge the card downward to seat on circuit board pins 3.
