This "C" ring cartridge can be loaded and then unloaded without touching the outside surface of the "C" rings. The cartridge contains four chains 10 rotated by two sprockets 12 each. The four chains 10 are actuated by a driver (not shown) in the clockwise direction to load the "C" rings 14 and in the counter-clockwise direction to unload the "C" rings. A "C" ring is placed on receiving fingers 16 of the chain link 18a. Drive rotation in the clockwise direction brings lock finger 20 on link 18a into the "C" ring groove. The drive motion also positions the chain link 18a in position to also receive a "C" ring. Repeat motions will load the cartridge with "C" rings. After the cartridge is full, the "C" rings can be transported to a use station.
