A circuit module has an array of pins, and a front surface of a circuit board has arrays of sockets that a number of circuit modules plug into. The board has several layers of internal wiring that interconnects the modules. These features of the circuit package are conventional. Some of the connectors on the front surface of the board are arranged to extend through the board and to connect to pins that extend from the back surface of the board. Similar pins extending from the back surface of the board connect to wiring in one of the internal layers of the board. Several boards are arranged with their back surfaces facing each other, and electrical connections are made from board to board by short cables that have sockets at each end.
