This article describes the overall multi-station application test system (MSATS) including MSATS hardware and software. This system is an enhancement to the technique described in the preceding article. The system disclosed herein provides application developers and testers with a set of hardware and software tools that provide facilities to repeatedly playback prerecorded external user input from input (Image Omitted) devices to a single or multiple station configuration of personal computer (PC)-based workstations. The input device can be a serial or parallel device, including keyboard, mouse, joystick, touchpad, and others. The system can support from one to 32 unique stations under test concurrently, each with a unique test being run. This system provides similar functions for character input devices.
