Tilt and Rotate Device for CRT Display

In a tilt and rotate device for a CRT display, the display enclosure has underneath a support plate with a lower spherical surface. This surface rests on three equally spaced supports consisting of two nylon pins with rounded ends and rubber pad mounted on a base plate. Friction between the rubber pad and spherical surface maintains the display enclosure in a fixed position. A nylon ball attached to a scissors mechanism is positioned between the spherical surface and the base plate adjacent to the rubber pad. Manual operation of the scissors mechanism moves the nylon ball towards the pins to engage and lift the spherical surface out of contact with the rubber pad, thus allowing the display enclosure to be tilted and rotated, as desired.
