Abstract

A universal knob-locking device has a lockable circular enclosure for clamping around any type of knob, thereby preventing access and unauthorized use of the locked-around knob. Fig. 1 illustrates the universal knob-locking device 10 and in cludes two opposing cylindrical halves 12 and 14 of a finite height, the halves hinged at point 16 about a pin 18. At an opposing end, a shackle-encompassing member 20 includes a hole 22 and two opposing ears 24 and 26 with a space 28 for receiving the shackle-extending member 20. Both cylindrical halves 12 and 14 include split back panels 30 and 32, respectively, and either a solid front panel 34, which can be affixed to member 12, or, in the alternative, member 34 can be split into opposing front panels.
