A technique is described whereby logos may be automatically inserted onto machine covers. The design eliminates the need of adhesives, solvents and the inherent protective measures necessary in handling such materials. The technique uses push-type fastener logos 10, as shown in the drawing, which insert into keyholes 11. The machine cover has a recess 12 to receive the logos. The fastener portion of the logo 10 is located off center, such that it will engage the offset 13 in keyhole 11, and fit in the cover recess 12 in only one horizontal orientation and one vertical orientation. The concept presented is especially adaptable to robotic insertion with the logos preloaded into magazines, all orientated in the same direction.
