Abstract

A real-time multiple data editor provides integration of all data on a single page in relation to each other in dynamic editable form. The page may contain both text and non-text object sets including images, graphics, tables, annotations, and handwriting. During the editing session, a user can create a great number of objects, each of which can have a user-specified name. When the user later wants to access a particular named object, she/he can invoke a SHOW command which toggles document attributes on and off. The user can then select an option called "Show Names" which, when selected, generates a window overlay on the right-hand side of the screen. Within the window will be a scrollable list or user-created object names.
