Abstract

A tape mask having a pre-cut window 2 with a peel-away backer 3 is used in plating circuit board tabs or the like. The applique eliminates manual cutting and is compatible with automated tape mask application machines and conductive tape applications. Three configurations are described. In Fig. 1 the mask is cut for size and the "window position", and is then stacked. In Fig. 2, the tape mask is rolled on long axis with the backer cut to size and the "window" positioned. In Fig. 3, the tape mask is rolled on short axis and cut for size and the "window" positioned.
