Abstract

A real-time multiple data editor provides integration of all data on a single page in relation to each other in dynamic editable form. The page may contain both text and non-text object sets including images, graphics, tables, annotations and handwriting. Object sets may be moved into position on a page such that more than one object set is occupying a single displayable area on the page. Text object sets are provided with a flow attribute which, when on, causes a text object, such as a paragraph, to be flowed around a non-text object set, such as a graph. When the editor is flowing text around non-text object sets, there is a problem in determining how much white space should be maintained by the editor when automatically flowing text around the non-text object sets.
