Abstract

Dye molecules are added to a charge transport layer (CTL) which contains a hydrazone transport molecule, in order to reduce room light sensitivity and electrical fatigue of the photoconductor. A dye having an appropriate chromophoric system, and which absorbs radiation in the 400 to 450 nanometer range, is added, in small amounts, to a CTL having DEH as the active transport molecule. Classes of dyes found useful include benzylidene, azo, cyanine, dihydrazone and benzophenone dyes.
