Constant Power Circuit for Non-Linear Element

This circuit tends to minimize variations in power levels dissipated in a non-linear resistive load due to variations in the parameters of the load. As in the drawing, the circuit consists of a series loop composed of voltage source 1, resistor 2 and non-linear load 3. Voltage (V) across load 3 multiplied by the current (I) through the load 3 results in the power level (P) in load 3. If resistor 2 is chosen to have a resistive value of V/I, then variations of power in load 3 due changes in the resistance of load 3 will be minimized.
