Abstract

A real-time multiple data editor provides integration of all data on a single page in relation to each other in dynamic editable form. The page may contain both text and non-text object sets including images, graphics, tables, annotations and handwriting. Object sets may be moved into positions on a page such that more than one object set is occupying a single displayable area on the page. In most text editors, attributes of data are determined by controls placed in a sequential data stream or by some predefined format. The user has no control over where attributes or data definitions can originate. In the multiple data editor, it is desired to provide the user with total control over the attributes and data of all objects within a document.
