Abstract

A real-time multiple data editor provides integration of all data on a single page in relation to each other in dynamic editable form. The page may contain both text and non-text object sets including images, graphics, tables, annotations and handwriting. Object sets may be moved into positions on a page such that more than one object set is occupying a single displayable area on the page. The problem is how to position non-text object sets on the page when like or non-like object sets are inserted in the space before or after the non-text object set. The solution to the problem is to define insertion rules that apply to both text and non-text object sets.
