Method to Provide Browsing of System Profile Defaults

A method is described which permits the operator of an interactive information handling system to view or browse the Work Station and Text defaults of the system profiles without creating a "user-defined profile" with the system profile default values. The term "System Profile" refers to a large data table which resides in the Initial Program Load (IPL) program dataset that contains the Work Station and Text default values used during initial program load of the DisplayWrite program. Presently, the only mechanism that exists to serve the purpose of viewing, browsing, or examining the system profile defaults is via the "Create Profile" function, where a file must be created with the system profile defaults before the profile's values can be determined.
