Abstract

A method is described to assist the operator of an interactive information handling system which is provided with a "Help Facility" to display a specific page in the Help document, without "paging down" through every page to get to the desired page. The method employs the "Goto" function to directly access the page. The Help document in some applications is many pages long. Although an Index is provided at the beginning of the document to aid the user in locating the information that is need, using the "Page Down" function to display the desired page is cumbersome and time-consuming.
