A method is described which provides the operator of an interactive information handling system having a help facility, the "Home" and "End" key functions within the Help document. The Help document of an interactive information handling system generally consists of many sections, each of which describes different aspects or functions of the system. These sections range from one to several pages in length. When an operator has accessed help, they often want to deal with one specific section. Once in that section, the Page Up and Page Down functions can be used to view all the associated pages. However, the operator may want to move quickly to the beginning or end of a particular section. In accordance with the new method, the "Home" and "End" keys are used to move quickly to the beginning or end of a section.
