Abstract

Power Supplies PS1 and PS2 are connected to the same AC power line. A common control circuit including an elementary display unit (simple lights) is used to control power supplies PS1, PS2... PSn. The control circuit and display are powered through a redundant power supply connected to both PS1 and PS2 outputs. Assuming one of the supplies PS1 or PS2 is down, power is still provided to the control circuit and display by the other power supply. No power is provided to the control circuit and display only when both PS1 and PS2 are down or when the AC power line is down. This circuit connection could be useful for maintenance purposes.
