Abstract

The system employs an electro-conversion printer, such as an electroerosion printer, or a resistive thermally recordable printer, to produce a high resolution original, and a photocopier, such as an electrostatic copier, to copy that original. Because of the high resolution of the electro-conversion printed originals, the photocopies may be enlarged from the originals, and the originals may be stored in a compact cassette which may be retained for archival purposes and retrieved and copied, as needed. Referring to the drawing, the electro-conversion medium 10 is unwound from a supply spool 12 and is printed by electrical currents from a plurality of electrodes of an electro-conversion print unit 14 under the control of a control unit 16.
