Combination Shipping Container/Work Station

A container suitable for shipping computer terminals, personal computers, or the like, converts into a work station. The container is shown in the shipping or storage mode in Fig. 1., and in the work- station mode in Fig. 2. The container exterior (Fig. 1.) consists of sides 10, 12, 14, and 16, bottom 18, and top 20. Sides 12 and 14 are connected by a piano hinge 22, and sides 14 and 16 are similarly connected by a like hinge. Angular brackets 24, 26 secure the remaining parts of the carton. In the container mode, finished surfaces of the container are facing inward, as shown in Fig. 3, and are protected from damage and marring. When the container is unpacked, sides 12 and 16 are folded 180 degrees about their respective hinges, as shown in Fig. 4.
