An improved neon lamp indicator is disclosed which reduces the need for using a plurality of lamps to indicate the availability of phase voltages to equipment in a three-phase power network. Fig. 1 shows a first embodiment of the invention which can be applied to a three-phase delta network configuration, and Fig. 2 illustrates a second embodiment of the invention which can be applied to a three-phase wye power connection. Standard two-element neon lamps are used to indicate the power-on status of many power systems. Generally, for a three-phase system, three such lamps are used to indicate that all three phases are in operating condition. In practice, if a phase lead is open or voltage absent, two lamps on a delta system are extinguished.
