Circuit for Adjusting Duty Cycle of Horizontal Deflection Drive Pulses for Crt Monitor

This article describes a technique for adjusting the duty cycle of horizontal deflection drive pulses with a commercially available TV deflection signal processing IC (integrated circuit) which generates horizontal drive pulses of a fixed duty cycle in response to an integrator. A simple circuit is added which supplies an additional current to the integrator during a half of each cycle. Commercially available TV deflection signal processing ICs are adjustable in frequency of horizontal deflection drive pulses but usually fixed in duty cycle thereof. However, there may happen the case where one wants to change the duty cycle to make such an IC fit the circuit design used. This technique achieves the object by the addition of a simple circuit to such an IC. Fig.
