A device is provided which transfers parts from one conveyor to an adjacent conveyor moving in the opposite direction without changing the orientation of the parts. The leading edge of a part continues to be the leading edge after the transfer even though the direction of travel has been reversed. Fig. 1 is an end view and Fig. 2 is a top view of the device. The transfer device comprises a curved, low friction guide bar 1, a stationary pivot post 2, and a driven roller 3, which derives its power from the main drive system through a drive belt 4 connected to a pick-up roller 5, which contacts the main drive belt 6. Parts 7 travel along conveyor A until they contact the curved guide bar 1, which deflects them toward the driven roller 3.
