Transaction Handling System Using a Bank Card With Display, Input and Memory Functions

In an automatic transaction facility, such as a cash-dispenser or auto- teller-machine, a bank card which is equipped with a display, input and memory functions are provided for enabling a consumer to input some kinds of transaction data or values thereinto at anytime and anyplace before the card is brought into the facility by the consumer for transactions and to automatically transfer the input data from the card to the facility when the card is brought into the facility, so that the consumer's operation time for the facility can be reduced, resulting in raising the performance of the facility. As shown in Fig. 1, the bank card has a display screen and some function keys. The screen can display data in a memory provided in the card, and some messages indicating the consumer's operations can be performed for inputting data.
