This article describes a method for drawing a thick line on a display screen. By using an appropriate combination of simple commands, a line of desired thickness can be drawn. The following three commands are used. LINE:Move to an adjacent coordinate position (dot storage position) to follow a desired line determined by parameters. RIGHT:Move to a right adjacent coordinate position and set "1" bit (dot). This position is in either X or Y direction from a current position. LEFT:Move to a left adjacent coordinate position and set "1" bit. This position is in either X or Y direction from a current position. The figure illustrates an operation to draw a line of double width by repeatedly executing the following command sequence.
