Method of Deskewing Data Pulses

This disclosure describes a means for controlling and manipulating the timing pattern of data pulses from multiple data sources that have been skewed in time because of the delays associated with different path lengths from a common timing pulse source. In very high speed digital circuits, the physical length of inter functional connecting cables will present undesirable pulse transfer delays which are directly proportional to the actual travel distance and will develop skewing in the pulse pattern. When circuit functions require that all of the data pulses arrive at a common sink simultaneously, or within the duration of a sampling pulse or clock pulse, a method of compensating for the varying delays caused by the different path lengths (Fig. 1) must be provided.
